One of my favorite scenes in any Disney movie is when all the lanterns are swirling in Tangled. For my birthday, we decided to do a Tangled theme and make some easy decorations.
Supplies:
- Construction Paper
- Glue/ Tape/ Stapler
- Scissors
- Optional: Tangled Suns (template included)
Directions:
- Fold your paper like a hamburger. Cut a strip off one of the ends- you’ll need this to hang your lantern.
- At the fold of your paper, cut slits and stop short about 1/2 inch to 1 inch from the edge.
- Unfold your paper, and bring the ends together in the hot dog style. Staple, glue, or tape your ends together so you have your round lantern.
- Use the strip you cut off to go from side to side at the top of your lantern, creating a handle.
- Decorate as you like! If you’re going to draw or color, do it before you refold and glue/staple/tape. We added the sun stickers last so they would fit the shape of the round lanterns.
So easy, and beautiful to decorate with. If you’re doing a Tangled Birthday or party of some kind, this is a way to add easy flare.
