Truthfully, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has never been one of my favorites with Disney. The Evil Queen used to scare me to death when I was little, and Snow White isn’t exactly deep.
But when it comes to crafts and food, and the fact that Snow White was the first feature-length animated film, I am THERE.

We started our Snow White day with an assortment of apple-dipping delights. Our apple tray was a big hit. This is the second time we’ve done it and I think it’s a favorite because it involves choices. Caramel and sprinkles? Nutella and graham cracker crumbs? The combinations are tons of fun and scrumptious.
Then we watched the classic film. I remember when I was little and it came to theaters for an anniversary release, and it was such a big deal that my big sister and I got to go. The dragons, while not super impressed with Snow White, love the dwarfs. And my middle dragon, bless him, loves the Evil Queen.

After the movie, the dragons got to design a dwarf. While this was supposed to be “what would your name be as a dwarf?” it turned into my boys just naming their dwarfs after themselves.

You win some, and you… do what you like with others, am I right? Something like that?
Overall, I loved our Snow White Disney day. It gave me another look at Snow White. And while she still isn’t one of my absolute favorites, I can give her some serious credit for cleaning and taking care of seven men- because, being in an outnumbered household with four other males, I can appreciate that is no easy task.
